Bed of Nails is a 42 x 68 cm mattress made of cotton, with the nails made of non toxic plastic. There are 230 acupressure points, each in turn covered with 28 nails for a total of 6440 nails per mat, harmless to the skin but with all the healing benefits of its legendary ancestor!

It works like acupuncture, the pressure of the rounded nails against the skin may help the body release endorphins, the body's very own "happiness drug" which provides a sense of joy, energy and pain relief; and oxytocin, which makes you calm and relaxed - yes, it is possible to feel energetic and be relaxed at the same time!

Everybody reacts differently to Bed of Nails, and the effects can even vary from time to time - you may feel tired, hungry, happy, alert. A lot of people experience feelings of happiness, relaxation and hightened body temperature.

How do I use Bed of Nails?

Bring out your Bed of Nails when needed, preferably daily. Put your Bed of Nails on the floor or on your bed and lie on it for at least 10 minutes. As a new user you may want to start off with a shorter time, until the body and the skin get more used to it. In the beginning, if you are sensitive, you may also start off with putting a light cloth or using a t-shirt while getting used to the nails.

The sensation you are looking for, in order for Bed of Nails to work optimally, is a "good" pain. In other words don't be alarmed if it stings a bit, this only means it is working!

It's completely harmless to lie for a longer period of time on Bed of Nails, or even to fall asleep for a while. Bed of Nails can be used for different body parts - the sensations and results may vary from person to person.
